The Problem
Travel businesses face unique payment challenges that generic solutions don’t address.
Banking access and de-risking
Banks see travel as high-risk and regularly exit the sector or impose restrictive terms. You need payment infrastructure, but traditional banking relationships are increasingly difficult to establish and maintain.
FX costs eating margins
Cross-border payments and currency conversion fees consume 2-5% of transaction value. On already-thin travel margins, payment costs become the difference between profit and loss.
Settlement delays and working capital
You’re prepaying suppliers while waiting for customer collections to settle. Traditional banking timelines don’t align with travel business cash flow cycles, creating constant liquidity pressure.
Compliance burden across jurisdictions
You’re operating across multiple regulatory regimes, but compliance guidance is written for banks and processors—not travel businesses managing cross-border transactions and customer funds.

The Insider Advantage
I’ve been on the other side of the table.
I spent 10+ years inside payments banking—as Head of Fintech, Head of Sales, COO, and Head of Product at UK regulated banks and multinational payment providers. At my peak, I was responsible for client relationships processing billions of pounds annually.
I helped pioneer UK payment services for crypto when most banks wouldn’t touch it, built early Banking-as-a-Service propositions, and even developed AI-powered compliance tools for financial institutions.
But I also watched too many legitimate businesses lose their banking overnight—not because they’d done anything wrong, but because they didn’t fit into someone’s risk model. I got tired of being on the side that couldn’t help them.
Now I use what I learned on the inside to help businesses navigate a system that was never designed with them in mind.
